LCFE Welcomes Large Numbers to Open Day
Date: 07 Feb 2012

Limerick College of Further Education’s annual Open Day on Tuesday 7th February was a highly successful event again this year attracting large numbers of people interested in learning more about the College’s programmes and facilities. Teaching staff were on hand to provide all the information required by prospective learners, parents and guidance counsellors.

Details were also provided on maintenance grants as well as social welfare information. This year’s Open Day also again featured an exciting Visual Arts Exhibition (Art and Design, Fashion, Interior Design and Photography). Produced by LCFE learners and staged by academic staff, the high-quality exhibition was enjoyed by all visitors.

Commenting on the Open Day's success, LCFE Director, Pat Maunsell, said: "Staff are to be congratulated on the excellent preparation and planning which went into our Open Day on the 7th February. I was delighted to see a large volume of visitors on campus again this year. It is very encouraging to see such interest in the wide range of programmes we have on offer in our next academic year."

LCFE is now accepting applications for its more than 50 full-time Day Programmes in the 2012/13 academic year. Apply online as soon as possible on the College’s website www.lcfe.ie. First round interviews are scheduled for May this year. Demand for places on LCFE’s programmes always far exceeds the number of places available. Therefore, early application is essential to secure a place on one’s chosen programme of study.
