14 GCL students invited to Centre for Talented Youth

Date: 16 May 2012

Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh is delighted to announce that fourteen pupils attending Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh have been invited to the Centre for Talented Youth this year.  This is a record number of pupils from any one-single post-primary college in the region.
Each year, DCU choose the top 5% of talented pupils in Ireland for this programme.

Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh has had 10 pupils invited to CTYI this year.

The Irish Centre for Talented Youth (CTYI) is a national centre founded by Dublin City University in 1992. It aims to identify students aged 6-16 years with exceptional academic ability and to provide services for them, their parents and teachers. Since 1992 thousands of students have taken part in annual Talent Searches by sitting an aptitude test. Applicants scoring highly on this test are offered places on all CTYI academic programmes. These include, summer residential/commuter programmes and on-line correspondence courses.
